Privacy Policy

Tera Compute Inc. · Version 1.0 · Effective June 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tera Compute Inc. ("Tera," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our model inference API, dashboard, websites, and related services (the "Services"). It applies to people who use the Services and visitors to our websites.

Our core commitment for prompts and outputs

For models served on Tera's own infrastructure, we do not retain the content of your prompts or the completions we return beyond the time needed to process the request, we do not train models on that content, and no human reviews it in the normal course of operating the Services. Where your request is routed to a third-party model provider, that provider also handles the content under its own terms (see "Third-party model providers" below).

Information we process

  • Account information: name, email address, and profile details from your sign-in provider, and the organization you belong to.
  • Prompt and completion content: the Inputs you send and Outputs we return, processed to fulfill your request and handled as described above.
  • Usage and request metadata: timestamps, model names, token counts, API key identifiers (not the secret), status, and latency, used for billing, reliability, and abuse prevention.
  • Technical data: IP address and user-agent associated with requests and with security-relevant actions, such as recording your acceptance of our terms.
  • Billing information: processed by our payment processor. We receive billing status and identifiers; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to provide and operate the Services, authenticate users, calculate and collect charges, monitor and improve reliability and security, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and communicate with you about your account and the Services.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not train models on the content of your prompts or completions for models served on Tera's own infrastructure. We do not build advertising profiles from your use of the Services.

Third-party model providers

Some models are served by routing your request to a third-party model provider rather than running on Tera's own infrastructure. For those models, your prompt content is transmitted to the provider, which processes it under its own terms and privacy practices. The models this applies to, and links to the relevant provider terms, are listed in our Model Terms.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, such as cloud infrastructure and our payment processor; with third-party model providers as described above; and when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Tera, our users, or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data location

Tera operates its infrastructure in the United States, and inference on Tera-operated models is processed there. Where requests are routed to a third-party provider, processing may occur wherever that provider operates.

Data retention

We retain account, usage, billing, and security records for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. As noted above, prompt and completion content for Tera-operated models is not retained beyond the request lifecycle.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at hello@tera.gw. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your dashboard session secure. We do not use them for advertising.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice through the dashboard or by email.
